Stephen Liu
Class President Speech-Stephen Liu
“As an old Lee Academy veteran, I can tell all of you, the teachers here have made me who I am. I became eager to learn in 9th grade, found my interest in 10th grade, deepened my understanding in 11th grade and broadened my perspective in 12th grade.
My hopes now, would be to see all of them in 10 years’ time, and show them how I have grown from the new people I have met and interacted with, and we can sit around a campfire, chatting about the good old times of Stephen in Lee Academy. Thank you.

Linda Cheng
Salutatorian Speech-Linda Cheng
“When I first became a high school student, I was a shy little girl. I was not good at communicating with my peers and had trouble understanding what the teachers were talking about in class. I still remember my first day in school. I was very nervous. I was intimidated by learning the new knowledge that was taught in English and was feeling unconfident doing all homework in a second language. I once had some questions that I wanted to ask my teachers; however, I was standing outside the office for a while and was too afraid to go in.
But eventually we grow up. We learned, we improved and we developed. During high school, I improved my English skills. I can understand every word my teachers say and communicate with them fluently. I learned different subjects. I learned what his knowledge means and how to apply them in daily life. I learned how to work interdependently. I understand the value of working in groups and have learned how to have collaborative discussion with peers. I have learned problem solving skills as well. I sometimes get confused when studying and therefore have learned skills about how to deal with them when facing challenges.

Li Jia
Valedictorian Speech-Li Jia
“To know what you want, it is important to take part in school courses and after school activity; this will help you learn what you are interested in. Take advice from the teachers you like because they will give you advice from the perspective of an adult. Use what you already have to create higher value. Once you have a target, once you know what you want, you will find life easier, including gaining higher grade in exams, doing better at school, and having stronger power to do everything.
