6月3日是美国Lee Academy高级中学(上海校区)开学天，在家待了好久的“神兽们”，终于被父母们“欢欢喜喜”地送回了学校。听说返校一周了!大家感觉怎么样?

After the many challenges and struggles during the COVID-19 outbreak and teaching and learning online, ALAIS students returned to school on June 3, 2020. School leaders and administrative staff had been working in the school for over six weeks to prepare everything – virus prevention procedures, student management procedures, and hybrid teaching/learning trainings for teachers, collaboration with the PTO and Student Council – to ensure a smooth opening.

在经历了COVID-19爆发以及在线教学的诸多挑战后，我们终于在6月3日迎来了最可爱的学生们。过去的6周，我校管理层和行政部门紧密协作，成立了防疫小组，只为我们师生安全顺利的复学。我们制定了严格的防疫工作流程、疫情期间学生的管理条例以及与家委会的协同工作。与此同时，鉴于我校一部分学生选择继续进行网课、一部分学生选择复学的情况，我们对教师们进行了线上+线下混合教学的培训，确保所有学生都有体验。

Teachers, who had been teaching online from their homes, returned to school on May 25 to continue teaching online and to prepare their classrooms for the reopening of the school. The school gave the choice to students and parents whether or continue learning online from home or return to school for classroom learning.

原本在家进行网上授课的教师们也于5月25日返回学校，在教室里继续在线教学，同时也为学生们的复学做了大量的准备工作。我校为学生们在复课后的上学方式也提供了多种选择，学生可以选择继续在家进行线上教学，同时也可以选择返回学校进行课堂学习。

Everyone’s hard work paid off with a successful reopening.

最终每个人的付出终于有了回报，我们顺利安全且皆大欢喜的度过了开学周。

This is a very trying time for staff and students but I think that ALAIS has done a remarkable job in not only ensuring the welfare of everyone but also in promoting an academic community that is individualized and authentic.

In my six years in China I have made many friends throughout all of China and in other countries in Asia and none of them have taken the measures of creating such a dynamic learning platform that includes video-conferenced and dynamic learning activities in a means that is comparable to the in-school learning schedule.

在中国的六年时间里，我结交了许多朋友，遍及中国各地和亚洲其他国家，目前为止还没有一个地方像ALAIS，创造出这样一个充满活力的学习平台：线上+线下混合教学的无缝对接。

So, I feel very fortunate and think that students are very fortunate to attend this school that so obviously cares about their learning and education and sees them as individuals with individual needs that often require flexibility and extra effort.

所以，我感到非常幸运能够成为ALAIS的一员，同时我认为学生们很幸运能够在ALAIS学习和成长，ALAIS非常注重每个学生的学习和教育，对于每个学生个性化的教学方式。

In addition, humor and the ability to connect are innately human characteristics that surmount nationality, ethnicity, and distance and these are tools that I constantly try to infuse in my courses as well.

此外，幽默和沟通能力是人类与生俱来的特性，它们超越了国籍、种族和距离。在课堂上，用幽默的方式激起学生上课的兴趣，通过跟学生之间的沟通，建立彼此的关系等，这些都是我不断尝试在课程中融入的教学小技巧。

I have been expecting to go to school for the first time. And now I am so excited to be here. I thought I would need some time to fit in the school but the fact is that I don’t need any time to fit in because all my classmates are so friendly and so are the teachers. I felt like I have already fitted in the environment at the moment I stepped into the classroom. This kind of study environment is what i expected the most.

作为新生，我一直期待着返校上学。当我来到学校后，我非常的激动和高兴。之前以为我需要一些时间来适应返校的学习和生活，但实际情况是我不需要时间来适应，因为我所有的同学和老师都十分的友好。当我一踏进教室就觉得自己已经适应了ALAIS。这种学习氛围是我一直以来最期待的。

Hello! I am Eleven. I want to introduce my feeling about going back to school. During the coronavirus times, our school has been having the online classes. I think the learning environment in our school's online classes is very good. Everyone was discussing about our topic in an orderly way, and each unit has the goal of each unit, like the habits of mind or essential questions. It makes us better understand what we need to learn in each unit. Our teachers usually introduce them at the beginning of a unit. We are back in school now, I think it is more convenient for us to ask questions, and teachers can help students with their problems in private. They focus on the details more and the study environment is more intense too.

大家好!我是Eleven。我想分享一下我回到学校的感受。在疫情期间，我们一直是线上网课。我认为学校的线上课程的学习环境非常好。在老师的引导下，每个学生都有条不紊地讨论我们学习的内容，每个单元都有不同的主题，比如思维习惯或基本问题。UbD的教学方式使我们更好地理解每个单元学习的内容。老师通常会在一个单元开始时介绍思维习惯和基本问题。现在我们回到学校了，跟老师的沟通更加的方便，有问题可以直接问老师，老师还会一对一帮助学生解决他们的疑问。老师们也非常的注重细节，临近期末，学习氛围也相对比较紧张。
