2021年3月27日，美国Lee Academy高级中学(上海校区)师生在上海长宁区中山公园附近举办了一场公益摄影动画展，所有参展作品均出自我校才华横溢的师生们，这是一场真正属于我们自己的展览。这次活动是一个分享与展示我校师生才华的机会，同时，所有参展作品也通过出售与拍卖的形式，筹集了一定数目的公益善款(3500元)，献给“上海宝贝之家 Shanghai Baby's Home"

In March, talented ALAIS students exhibited their best photography and animation at an art gallery in Changning. The event was an opportunity both to share their talents with the community and, at the same time, raise money for the Shanghai Baby Home, from the sale of the students’ photographs.

我校媒体艺术老师Jaime E牵头组织了这次艺术展。在美国纽约视觉艺术学院完成研究生学业后，她成为了一名电影制作人和动画师。现在作为Lee Academy 的艺术老师，她的享受与满足，就是通过社区展览形式，展示她与学生们的作品与艺术才华。

ALAIS media arts teacher, Jaime E., organized the event. In her experience as a filmmaker and animator after her graduate studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, she found the most enjoyment and fulfillment when she was able to exhibit her work and share her artistic talents with the broader community.

参加展览的同学有九年级Jason，Skye，John，Kevin，Max;10年级学生Max and Makayla，以及12年级学生Augus。

The students who participated in the show are Grade 9 Jason, Skye, John, Kevin, Kevin, and Max; Grade 10 students Max and Makayla; and Grade 12 student Augus.

Jaime Ekkens

Jaime Ekkens于2020年至今在我校担任电影制作、艺术史及动画设计课程老师。2007年，Jaime Ekkens从Kendall艺术与设计学院获得BFA学位后，在纽约视觉艺术学院攻读并获得了计算机艺术硕士学位。Jaime Ekkens的独立短片曾在全球国际电影节上放映，并在美国多次获奖，曾参与北京、冰岛、成都和上海的驻场艺术家项目。

Jaime Ekkens has been a teacher of film production, art history and animation design at our school since 2020 . In 2007, after Jaime Ekkens received a BFA degree from Kendall College of Art and Design, he studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York and obtained a master's degree in computer art. Jaime Ekkens's independent short films have been screened at international film festivals around the world and have won many awards in the United States. He has participated in artist-in-residence projects in Beijing, Iceland, Chengdu and Shanghai.

“这个展览履行了我在上学期末对学生们许下的诺言，我承诺给我的学生们一次真正的展览，如今终于实现了”，Jaime 说道。她表示我校学生们创作的艺术作品都是出类拔萃的，她为他们的天赋和能力感到骄傲。

This exhibition fulfills a promise I made to my students at the end of last semester.

“I will get you all a real show” was something I said over and over in class. After many delays and months of planning, we finally opened this exhibit.

自本学年9月开始工作以来，我的个人目标一直是让我的学生获得在真实的画廊中进行展览并在公共场合展览的真实经验。我真的相信，没有任何教室可以代替这种经历。

Since beginning work in Sep. of this school year, it has been a personal goal of mine to get my students the real world experience of producing a show in a real gallery and exhibiting in public. I truly believe that there is no classroom substitute for this experience.

当我看到第二单元中学生上交的艺术品时，我知道我们可以做到。展览是促进艺术发展，交流，建立和友谊的绝佳机会，这些都是幕后计算机制作艺术品付出的辛勤劳动所获得的丰厚回报。看到所有辛勤的工作和在画廊墙上完成的艺术品所获得的回报，所有的睡眠不足和漫长的时光都是值得的。

When I saw the artwork that was being turned in during the second unit, I knew that we could do it. Exhibitions are great tools for promotion, chances to network, bonding and friendship making experiences, resume boosters and the sweet reward for the hours of effort spent behind the computer making the art. Seeing all that hard work pay off with finished art on the wall of a gallery makes all the sleep depravation and long hours worthwhile. ;)
