Q1: Why was this Teachers Day Celebration meaningful to you?

为什么此次的教师节欢庆活动对于你特别有意义?

I felt truly blessed that our students would celebrate Teachers Day in such a meaningful, unique way. It’s truly a blessing to be able to celebrate our teachers by giving them these special gifts. The students worked hard to plan it in secret and put a lot of work into coordinating the students to draw their teacher portraits, so it was a complete surprise to all of the teachers.

我感到非常幸运，我们的学生用这样有意义且独特的方式来庆祝教师节。学生们在活动前的秘密计划，并投入了大量的时间和精力来绘制我们所有老师的肖像，这个礼物太让我们惊喜了。

I’m especially surprised to know that you are planning all these in secret and I know you’ve been preparing this with a lot of effort. I love the student’s portrait of me and comments next to the drawing. I’m honored to receive this special gift and to be able to teach such a wonderful group of students.

我知道学生们从计划到实施，每一步都是他们对我们教师的感恩。他们在我们肖像旁边写上的小话语让我非常感动并且感到极大的荣幸可以成为这么一群可爱的孩子的老师。

Q2:What was the most meaningful part of this celebration for you?

你觉得此次教师节欢庆活动最让你感动的是哪一部分?

My favorite part is when we all came down the stairs, not knowing what was going on, and saw all the students waiting for us and clapping. I made me feel like all my students really care about us, the teachers.

那天，我们所有老师带着一头雾水的被告知到1楼大厅集合，当我们所有老师陆续走下楼梯到1楼的那一刻，看到所有的学生们都在那儿，笑着鼓着掌等着我们。就那一瞬间，我真实感受到了学生们的关心。

Q3:What is the meaning of Teachers Day for you?

教师节对于你有怎样的意义?

It is similar to the Thanksgiving in western countries, an opportunity for students to celebrate and give thanks to their teachers, who are preparing them for success in the future.

中国的教师节对我而言正如西方的感恩节，那一天学生们可以向教师们表达他们的感恩之情。

Q4:Why was this Teachers Day Celebration meaningful to you?

为什么此次的教师节欢庆活动对于你特别有意义?

I enjoyed it. I think it was really thoughtful. It showed more connection between students and teachers.

我很享受这样的活动，让人感觉非常贴心。这也很大程度上增进师生之间的感情。

Q5:What was the most meaningful part of this celebration for you?

你觉得此次教师节欢庆活动最让你感动的是哪一部分?

My favorite part was seeing the drawings form students and how close the pictures actually resemble the real “thing.” It is interesting to see students’ artistic representation of us.

我最喜欢的一部分就是学生们向我们展示他们画作的时候，有些学生画的很像我们，看到他们亲手画的“我们”特别有意思。

Q6:What is the meaning of Teachers Day for you?

教师节对于你而言有些怎样的意义?

I really appreciate the day , but sometimes I think that if the students really want to show teachers their appreciation, they could just give the teachers a day off or early release.

我很感激教师节这样的日子，但是如果可以给教师一天假期或者提前下班就太棒啦!

Q7:What was the most meaningful part of this celebration for you?

此次欢庆教师节活动，给你印象最深的是哪部分?

My favorite part is the part during which students and teachers had to guess who got which picture. It is pretty funny even though my picture doesn’t look like me at all.

我最喜欢的部分是学生们把他们画的老师肖像向大家展示并让我们所有教师职工猜测是哪位老师的部分。这部分特别的有趣，即使我在他们的画中根本不像我本人。

Q8:What is the meaning of Teachers Day for you?

教师节对于你而言有些怎样的意义?

I have always known about Chinese teachers’ day and I have received gifts from my previous students also. I really enjoy teachers day and look forward to more teachers days in the future.

我在之前的学校经历过教师节的活动，非常喜欢这个日子，也很享受做教师的每一天。
